Going Outside Of My Comfort Zone – Under The Sea

After I “hit the ceiling” with my abstract strokes, I had this sudden urge to start painting items from the ocean. Researching random things online I came up with the first four items to paint – tigerfish, seahorse, starfish and clownfish. The tigerfish is done and the seahorse needs some detailed outlining. The starfish I’m not quite sure whether to leave it simple or not. Here’s a snapshot of the progress to date. My challenge with this piece will be not to over do it with detail (the whole less is more idea). Size is 20 x 40.
